Coogee
Set beside Gordons Bay in Coogee, these penthouse-style apartments were designed to bring the coast into everyday living.
The building is organised around northern aspect, so living areas and terraces take in the sun and the panoramic views. A rhythm of slender pale columns frames deep balconies on each level, planted edges soften every floor line, and a fine roof plane caps the top-floor residences. Finishes were chosen for longevity in a coastal setting, with a quiet, light palette that suits the beach.
Orienting every apartment to the north and to the views on a corner site above Gordons Bay, while keeping the building calm and well proportioned in its street.
What are you
imagining?
What needs
to fall into place?
What needs
untangling?
What's
your style?
Start with
one question.
Tell me what you are considering, what matters and where you need clarity.
I read these myself. You will be speaking with me, not a mysterious enquiry department.
Design &
construction
should speak.
Arkhaus is a residential & Commercial design studio where ideas and making are considered as one. Beautiful buildings should be as resolved in thought as they are in execution.
"Good design doesn't end on paper."
Experience
changes the
way you see.
Led by Fernando Banales, Arkhaus draws on 24 years in architecture and construction. Trained in architecture. Registered builder. Designer by instinct.
Our practice & projects are supported by NOX, a project management platform designed to streamline communication, coordinate decisions and maintain visibility across every stage of the process.
"Knowing how things are made changes how you design them"
The site
knows.
Every home starts with what is already there. Light. Aspect. Landscape. Privacy. Material. The way you want to live.
We listen before we draw.
Beautiful.
Logical.
Built.
Good residential design is often an exercise in restraint. Fewer gestures. Better proportions. Materials with purpose. Details that feel inevitable.
Design first. Site led. Beautifully resolved.
